I consider training to be something that I do at various levels of formality and intensity. The lowest levels are something I do constantly, especially in my online interactions and postings. The higher levels are something that are done only with those that I am specifically working with. Below are the levels of training and some short notes about what is involved in them. I intend to flesh this out later with more explanation when I have the time to do so.

Casual training is done with anyone who asks me questions or where I respond to an online post somewhere. I do this with some frequency. Usually such question and answer sessions are short, often just once. Sometimes discussion in an online chat venue such as IRC may include such casual training. There is no obligation on my part save to be as correct as I can with my statements and answers. There are no obligations on the parts of others at all. This is done both with Free and slave. Casual training is usually done online, but can be done in offline conversation.

This is usually done by my posting comments or answering questions on various Gorean email lists or forums.

Question and Answer is the main format of Casual Training

I will occasionally suggest readings and other resources such as web sites

There is no time limit to how long I will work at this level with anyone

There is no acknowledgement of training status

There are no distance limits on Casual Training

INFORMAL TRAINING

Informal training is where someone comes to me for specific help and the information is presented in a more formal manner or can include the offline training and serving of a slave to a Master. This can happen one time or it can happen more than once. There is no overall or long term commitment between Master and slave. I prefer to have at least one offline informal session with a slave before taking her to the level of formal training.

Question and Answer is the main format of Informal Training

I will provide other resources at times

Reports, written answers to questions and other writings may be required.

There are no distance limits on Informal Training

Informal Training is a prerequisite for Formal Training

Informal training may include offline as well as online training

No intention to advance beyond Informal Training
Plans to go to Formal Training or a House Collar

FORMAL TRAINING

Formal training comes in two parts. The difference is one of ownership. Training without ownership consists of teaching and limited control over the slave. Ownership is more and deeper control, possession and training. Formal training has a time limit. It is the only level of training that has such a limit. The limit is a year and a day which can be renewed one time. At the end of that time either a slave is placed with another Master, the training devolves down to informal training or she begs a House Malkinius collar.

The slave may not go to Formal Training or a House Collar without having first served me offline at least once.

Question and Answer is a primary format of Formal Training

Formal Training only be entered into after offline service and will require an offline collaring ceremony to formalize the arrangement and starting date

The maximum time allowed for Formal Training is a year and a day and may be extended one time for the same period?

Formal Training requires offline service with Malkinius

Offline training with Malkinius is required a minimum of 2-4 times a year

This level may require daily journals

At the start of Formal Training:
This will require other writings and offline activities/rituals
If the slave is owned or married it requires the approval/assistance of the offline Master/husband of the slave
The slave will add “Training in House Malkinius” to online profiles
The slave will add {HMTC}, the online training collar tag to their online nick

OWNERSHIP AND TRAINING

Formal training would be delineated by the online tag {HMTC} (House Malkinius Training Collar). The ownership by the tag {HMLK} (House MaLKinius). There is also the personal slave of Malkinius {MLKN} which can only be begged by someone in a House Malkinius collar. The House Malkinius collar is for a slave who wishes to be a slave of Malkinius, or of his house, but who is not with him full time or physically close enough to effectively be with him full time.
